SheltaCo
services
Architecture across every scale and sector.
We don't specialise in one project type. We specialise in doing good work — whether that's a granny flat or a government complex.
SheltaCo is an architectural practice providing residential, commercial and government architectural services across every project scale. From council approval drawings to $100M+ public developments. Flat team structure — the architect you brief is the architect doing your work. D5 Render photorealistic 3D visualisations provided in every first client meeting.
Residential
Renovations and extensions. New homes. Granny flats and secondary dwellings. Queenslander alterations and raise-and-build-in. Duplexes and small multi-dwelling developments. High-end bespoke homes on complex sites.
Every residential project includes D5 photorealistic renders in the first design meeting. You see what your home will look like before you've spent a cent on construction.
Commercial
Office fitouts and refurbishments. Retail and hospitality design. Mixed-use developments. Change-of-use applications and compliance upgrades. We handle space planning, BCA compliance, accessibility, fire separation and council approvals.
For developers, we bring feasibility thinking to design — we understand yield, GFA, site coverage, parking ratios and what makes a project commercially viable, not just aesthetically interesting.
Government & Institutional
Office refurbishments and facility upgrades. Compliance works and building modifications. New public buildings and major works. We're experienced with QBuild and public sector procurement frameworks, reporting requirements and stakeholder management across multiple departments.
For smaller government projects in the $50K–$500K range, our flat structure means you're not paying for a director, an associate and a graduate when one experienced architect can handle the job directly. For major projects, we scale to match.
Council Approvals
Development applications, building approvals, BCC and regional council compliance. We prepare plans, write planning assessments, coordinate consultants, lodge applications and manage council correspondence through to decision. We do this for our own design projects and as a standalone service when you just need plans approved
